JAO Juneteenth - A Community Conversation: Listening, Healing, & Change

The Jim Austin Online (JAO) Juneteenth Community Conversation is set to take place on Saturday, June 3, from 12 to 2 pm CDT at The Warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. This event is a significant part of the 2023 National Juneteenth Virtual Heritage Festival activities, aiming to foster a sense of community, facilitate dialogue, promote healing, and inspire positive change.


Genai Walker Macklin, a prominent Financial Consultant at Morgan Stanley, will be one of the guest speakers at this event. Genai's expertise in the financial sector will bring valuable insights to the conversation and contribute to addressing key topics surrounding mental wellness, educational gaps, gun and gang violence, workforce opportunities, community programming, home ownership, entrepreneurship, and wealth.


The Juneteenth Community Conversation will feature a diverse panel of speakers, including Tobi Jackson, President of the FWISD School Board, AnnaKatrina Kelly, CEO of Virtue Us Investments, Inc., Lauren Kelly, Principal of FlyGirlz Academy, Inc., and LaToya Williams, Realtor with RJ Williams & Co. Each speaker will bring their unique perspectives and expertise to shed light on critical issues affecting the community.
